Summary
Soil salinity is a persistent challenge for desert agriculture. As salts accumulate in the root zone, crop growth, yield, soil health, and long-term field productivity can be affected. Growers need practical tools that can be integrated into existing irrigation systems without requiring major changes in water use or farm operations. The University of Arizona will evaluate whether En Solución’s ozone nanobubble irrigation system can reduce root-zone salinity in a commercial romaine lettuce field in Yuma, AZ.
